Classic 1940s Movie Series at the Carnegie Arts Centre! 

Step back in time with us as we celebrate some of the most iconic films of the 1940s. We're thrilled to present “Oscar Nights: The 1940s Classics”, a five-movie screening series running through November and December at the Carnegie Arts Centre. The films were handpicked by you, our amazing community, through our social media poll—and they're nothing short of legendary! 

What's in Store?

• A cozy, nostalgic atmosphere perfect for beating the winter blues.

• Tickets are just €12 for each movie—an incredible deal to experience cinema's golden age!

Your Line-up of Movie Masterpieces:

1. 1 December - Brief Encounter (1945) – 3 Oscars 
   A touching story of forbidden love and fleeting moments.

2. 8 December - Double Indemnity (1944) – 2 Oscars 
   A film noir classic full of suspense, betrayal, and deception.

 Dates: Screenings will take place on Sunday evenings throughout November (3/10/17) and December (1/8) at 6.30pm.  Tickets: €45 for all 5 movies – transferable for individual screenings.
